Gyanvapi mosque case : The videography survey of the Gyanvapi Masjid complex in Varanasi resumed on Saturday amid tight security arrangements. The survey work went on in a peaceful manner and it will continue on Sunday. "The survey work went on in a peaceful manner.  And, there has been no objection from anyone. Everything is normal and conducive, and all parties co-operated," Police Commissioner of Varanasi A Satish Ganesh said. The mosque management committee had indicated that it will cooperate for now with the team assigned the task by a local court.  The mosque is located close to the iconic Kashi Vishwanath temple and the local court is hearing a plea by a group of women seeking permission for daily prayers before the idols on its outer walls. Delhi govt bus catches fire in Mahipalpur; no casualty reported

  An air conditioned bus of the Delhi Transport Corporation caught fire which spread and burnt down a few shops in southwest Delhi on Wednesday, officials said.  The fire department received information about the blaze in Mahipalpur area at 2.21 pm following which nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot, they said. flames were doused by 3.40 pm.  The cooling process is underway, an official said. According to the police, there were around 20 passengers in the bus when it caught fire but they safely de-boarded the vehicle. Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said, ''Initially, three fire tenders were rushed to the spot. But the blaze was massive and it spread across a few shops. ''Later, more fire engines were rushed to the spot. No one was injured in the incident.''  At least three outlets selling air coolers were damaged, officials said. Delhi Mundka Fire Updates: Six bodies identified; DFS chief says building had no fire NOC

Delhi News:  Delhi Fire Services Chief Atul Garg Saturday said that the   four-storey building gutted in a massive fire  near Mundka metro station had no fire NOC and clearance from the MCD. “It seems the entire building was illegal,” Garg said. Garg added that the rescue operation was over. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal  has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each  for families of those who died in the fire in Mundka on Friday. Those who have sustained injuries will be given Rs 50,000 as compensation.  Kejriwal has also ordered a magisterial probe into the incident. The  Delhi Police has also identified six out of the 27 bodies  found and the identification process of other bodies is on.  The police have also decided to conduct a DNA identification test – in case they are not able to ascertain the identity of some of the victims, whose charred bodies were recovered.
